Celeb memoirs are a dime a dozen these days, but supermodel-turned-TV personality Tyra Banks is joining a somewhat uncommon association: celebrities who have become writers.
Banks, 36, has now made a three-book agreement with Random House. The series of stories, titled “Modelland,” will be intended for young adults. The series will present models with extraordinary features, though Banks has said several characters might be based on folks she knows.
While it is uncommon for celebrities to write works of this kind, it is far from unheard of. One little-known star author is Bill O’Reilly — that’s right, the guy from Fox News — who in 1998 wrote a killer story named as “Those Who Trespass.” Another is musician Jimmy Buffett, who in 2004 published an American westerner named, “A Salty Piece of Land.”
Meanwhile get ready to read a spicy ninal from Tyra Banks.
