2010 Oscar Awards Announced

2010 Oscar Awards Announced today. The Hurt Locker bagged the best picture award, and five other prizes at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, its haul including best director for Kathryn Bigelow.

Bigelow is the first woman in the 82-year history of the Oscars to earn Hollywood’s top prize for filmmakers.

Sandra Bullock won the Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side. The actress earlier revealed that she was sure she would not be taking home the coveted statuette.

Jeff Bridges took the Best Actor award for Crazy Heart. The 60-year-old actor earlier revealed that he was not prepared to walk down the red carpet at the Oscars, which seems to get crazier every year.

Mo’Nique landed the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role of a teenager’s mother in Precious.

Christoph Waltz won the Best Supporting Actor for Inglourious Basterds.
